Kandyan Dance 💃.

 

Kandyan dance is a traditional dance form of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. This dance is also known as Uda Rta Natum ❤️. It originated in the central hills of the country ❤️. The most prestigious form is the 'Ves' dance, performed in an elaborate , sacred costume featuring a tiara - like headgear and white cloth 💃. It is traditionally accompanied only by percussion , primary the Geta Beraya drum and cymbals ( Thalampota) .
The dance includes fast and energetic movements 🥰. Kandyan dance is admired by people all over the world 🌏❤️. Today , It has evolved from sacred rituals to theatrical performances and cultural shows, retaining its artistic legacy ❤️🥰.
